The Importance of Performing Prayers on Time

Islamic preacher Dr. Muhammad Ali emphasized the necessity of leaving work to perform prayers on time during a phone call on the “Question Mark” program presented by journalist Musab al-Abbasi.

Dr. Ali stated that delaying prayer beyond the specified time is a major sin, referencing the Quranic verse, “Woe to those who pray about their prayers.” He explained that prayer is prescribed for believers at a certain time, making it impermissible to delay it without a valid excuse.

Dr. Ali also addressed a statement by artist Ilham Shaheen, who questioned the need for a director to quit work for prayers. Dr. Ali responded, “What is the problem with him offering prayers? Will work stop? Prayers are more important.”
