Justice Tariq Jahangiri’s Verdict

Justice Jahangiri questioned why such issues were not being raised in the assembly, given that the individuals involved were parliamentarians. Shibli Faraz’s lawyer responded that the opposite was being done in the assembly, and even the speaker had commented on the matter.
Court’s Directive
Justice Jahangiri directed that Senator Shibli Faraz’s name be removed from the ECL within a week and that the court be informed of the action taken. The court adjourned the hearing of the case for a week, warning that if the court order was not implemented, the Interior Secretary would be required to appear in the next hearing.
