President Moon Jae-in told Pope Francis on the 29th (local time), “I hope to see you on the Korean Peninsula next time.”
President Moon made this statement at a meeting with the Pope at the Vatican on the same day. President Moon also proposed a visit to North Korea to the Pope in 2018.
President Moon said, “If the Pope visits North Korea, it will be a momentum for peace on the Korean Peninsula.”
