Um Ji-in, along with fellow announcers Kim Bo-min and Park Eun-young, shared behind-the-scenes stories of their tough days as rookie announcers. Um Ji-in’s story took a surprising turn when she shared how her senior’s harsh criticism led her to start dieting. I started losing weight because of the shock I felt at that time.”
Park Eun-young also shared her intense schedule as a rookie announcer, revealing that she would often work from 4 AM to 2 AM, juggling live broadcasts, announcer work, and choir practice. She also talked about the three taboos for female announcers appearing on entertainment programs: no autographs from celebrities, no pictures with them, and no exchange of numbers.
The conversation offered a glimpse into the challenges faced by Um Ji-in, Park Eun-young, and Kim Bo-min during their early days as announcers. Their stories, which were like opening Pandora’s box in a survival game, are a testament to their perseverance and dedication to their craft.
