“Cambridge Companion to Manga and Anime” (Cambridge Companion to Manga and Anime, UK), edited by Jacqueline Berndt, a professor at Stockholm University, has been published, in which the second chapter is a paper written by Professor Stewart about Japanese 4-panel manga. Books in the ‘Cambridge Companion’ series are widely used as reference materials by students and researchers around the world.

This book is Professor Stewart’s second co-authored book this year with an overseas university press. Moral Dimensions of Humour (edited by Nickl and Rolf) (Tampere University Press, Finland), which includes a paper on political cartoons co-authored with Professor Fidian of Flinders University, was published in May this year.
