What Happened?

Quaker, one of ⁣five horses from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment that ⁢ escaped and⁣ ran loose in central London on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, has retired to The Horse Trust sanctuary. The incident occurred ‍near Buckingham Palace, ⁣resulting in minor injuries to members of the public. The horses were returning from a ceremonial duty when the incident occurred.

Maj.Thomas Stewart stated via social media that Quaker was unable to ⁤resume his duties due to ⁢ongoing veterinary care. ‍ The⁣ decision was made to prioritize the horse’s welfare by retiring him ⁤from service.
