American pop star Britney Spears has denied media reports that she is ‘producing a new album for the first time in eight years’ and said, “I will never return to the music industry again.”

According to the Associated Press on the 4th (local time), Spears said in a post posted on her Instagram account the day before, “People keep saying I’m relying on random others to make a new album.” He then wrote, “I will never return to the music industry.”

Previously, on the 29th of last month, the British media ‘The Sun’ reported, citing sources, that Spears had recruited British singer-songwriter Charlie Regarding this, some media analyzed whether Spears had actually declared retirement.

However, Spears mentioned in the same post that she makes songs for other people. He said, “When I write songs, I do it for fun or for other people. I have written over 20 songs for other people over the last two years.” He added, “I’m a ghostwriter, and honestly, I enjoy it that way.”

Although he will not release his own album, it is assumed that he has left room for him to continue his musical career in other ways, such as by being an anonymous composer.

The Associated Press reported, “This isn’t the first time Spears has announced she won’t be releasing her own album.” In July 2021, Larry Rudolph, Spears’ manager of 14 years, quit his job, stating that Spears had no intention of continuing her career. At the time, Spears said on Instagram, “I’m scared of the music industry. “The fact that I don’t make music myself is also a protest against my family,” he posted. At the time, Spears was still in the custody of her father, who was her legal guardian.

However, Spears changed her mind and released the single ‘Hold Me Closer’ with Elton John the following year, and also released the song ‘Mind Your Business’ last year.
