The body of Jordan Johnson-doyle, a 25-year-old British backpacker, was discovered in a Kuala Lumpur construction site lift shaft, Malaysian police confirmed Thursday. Johnson-Doyle had been missing since May 27, after last being seen at a bar in an upscale Kuala Lumpur suburb.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Mohd Isa said authorities received information Wednesday afternoon about a man found in the lift shaft of a building site. Fire and rescue services retrieved the body, which was then sent for a post-mortem examination.
The post-mortem results indicated that Johnson-Doyle’s death resulted from a chest injury sustained in a fall from a height, according to Rusdi.
