Broadcaster Halima Boland was sentenced to two years in prison

A Kuwaiti court sentenced broadcaster and program presenter, Halima Boland, to two years in prison with hard labor, after convicting her of “incitement to immorality and debauchery,” according to local media reports.

The local Al-Rai newspaper explained that the Criminal Court also fined Poland a fine of two thousand Kuwaiti dinars, equivalent to 6,498 US dollars. According to investigations, Boland faced these charges for “misusing her phone.”

One of the people accused the Kuwaiti media personality of “inciting him to immorality and debauchery through her pictures and through her private videos and clips.” On the other hand, Boland said that the “victim” “abused her by insulting her,” so she quickly filed a lawsuit against him.
