Budget 2024 must label resources for the reconstruction of Acapulco and Guerrero: PAN and PRD

The national leaders of the PAN, Marko Cortes; and from the PRD, Jesus Zambranothey stated that the Federation Expenditure Budget (PEF) for 2024which will be debated in the Chamber of Deputies on Monday, must label extraordinary resources for the reconstruction of Acapulco.

“Budget 2024, which Morena intends to approve, further weakens our institutions and democracy, does not reestablish the Fund for Natural Disasters and incredibly does not allocate resources for the reconstruction of Acapulco”highlighted Cortés Mendoza.

During the discussion of the PEF 2024 in the Plenary Session of the Chamber of Deputies this Monday, PAN and PRD will seek to include an item for the reconstruction of Acapulco and the municipalities affected by Hurricane Otis.

The cuts that were approved are: to the Judiciary, 6.4 million pesos; to the INE, 5 million; to the Legislative Branch, 1.6 million; to the Federal Economic Competition Commission, 86 million and the National Institute of Transparency, 71 million.

“The secretary of the Budget Commission, Carol Altamirano, said that the 2024 Budget has to include resources to address the emergency in Guerrero, and I certainly agree with him, because it is time to show solidarity with our brothers in Acapulco, since the recovery It is estimated at 300 million pesos”, he concluded.
