Buffett Foundation, the NoVo Foundation, and the Susan Thompson Buffett foundation, named in honor of Buffett’s late wife.

Buffett, 94, launched the Giving Pledge⁢ in 2010 with Bill Gates ⁣and Melinda French Gates. “The mathematics ⁢of⁣ the lifetime commitments to the five foundations are fascinating,” Buffett said. “The five foundations have received Berkshire B shares that had a value⁣ when received of about $60 billion, substantially more than⁤ my entire⁤ net worth in 2006.”

Greg Abel, his long-time ‍second-in-command,⁢ is slated to assume the role. Buffett has stated he will gradually ⁣give away his ‍Berkshire Hathaway shares but will not sell⁤ any.

Buffett’s current holdings in Berkshire Hathaway consist⁢ of 198,117 Class A shares⁢ and 1,144 Class B shares. His philanthropic role and influence remain significant in the ⁣financial world.

“I have no debts and my remaining A shares are worth about $145 billion, well over 99% of my net worth,” Buffett said. “My will provides that about 99.5% of my estate is destined for philanthropic ⁢usage.”

What’s next
