Bambitious Nara Team Pays Courtesy Visit to Nara Governor
Bambitious Nara, CEO Shinji Kato, Head Coach Shuji Ono, player #6 Hayashi Eiji, and player #24 Honda Junpei paid a courtesy visit to Nara Governor Makoto Yamashita and shared their enthusiasm for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Governor Yamashita recalled his first time watching a game up close last season, saying, “Watching it live and up close was incredibly impressive. Also, seeing the size of the supporter squad made me realize the high expectations the people of Nara Prefecture have.” He then offered words of encouragement, saying, “I hope you will do even better this season than last.”
Kato explained that basketball is getting more attention than usual due to the success of the Japanese national basketball team in last year’s World Cup and this year’s Olympics, and that in response to this, they will be implementing “Project 6000” aiming for 6,000 spectators for the opening two games and inviting local citizens to come to the home games so that more people from Nara Prefecture can come to the home games. Kato also promised Governor Yamashita that they will not only become a stronger team, but also become a club that many people will support.
