General Secretary and President To Lam Completes US Business Trip, Heads to Cuba
On September 26 (Vietnam time), General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife successfully completed their business trip to the United States and departed for Havana, Cuba.
Following their attendance at the Future Summit and the United Nations General Assembly (UN General Assembly) in the United States, General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, left New York for a state visit to Cuba at the invitation of the First Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez and his wife.
Accompanying the delegation were prominent figures, including Nguyen Hoa Binh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister; Phan Van Giang, Member of the Politburo, Minister of National Defense; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security; Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission; Bui Thanh Son, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nguyen Duc Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; and several Party Central Committee members who are Ministers and Provincial Party Secretaries; as well as the Assistant General Secretary and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Cuba.
This state visit to Cuba by General Secretary and President To Lam marks a significant moment with historical importance, serving as a testament to the special brotherly friendship between the two nations over the past 65 years. This enduring bond between the two peoples, despite being geographically distant, has always been cherished as a valuable asset by the Party, State, and People of both countries.
