Infinity Ward has released the first trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s multiplayer mode. A dynamic battle scene is drawn, and details of how it can be enjoyed online have been revealed.
The trailer shows soldiers arriving at the battlefield in helicopters and jeeps. Players can use jeeps and other vehicles in multiplayer combat, and developer Infinity Ward describes them as having “strong destructive power” enough to destroy parts of the map.
Also, there is a map where you fight around the water in the multiplayer mode, like in the video where the soldiers swim through the underwater passages. The water combat and stealth action featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II campaign mode will also be available in multiplayer mode. Stealth is also a key action in the multiplayer mode, with the trailer showing soldiers sneaking up on enemies and killing them.
In the trailer video, a new “Prisoner Rescue” mode similar in style to Ubisoft’s shooting game “Rainbow Six Siege” where you can enjoy 5v5 team battles is also unveiled. In “Prisoner Rescue”, the battle begins with each team holding one hostage, and players will rescue the hostages held by the enemy team while preventing the enemy team from rescuing the hostages. The video shows soldiers shooting at enemies while hanging from buildings and using special gadgets, including small wall-mounted cameras and explosives, while rescuing hostages.
Prisoner Rescue isn’t the only new mode added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. In addition to the familiar “Team Deathmatch” and “Domination” from the “Call of Duty” series, the developer is a “high-speed, tactical round-based” 6v6 team battle mode “Knockout” and, it will add a 32 team to 32 “Invasion” battle mode that combines players and AI fighters.
