Actress Cameron Diaz, who is 51 years old, and her husband, musician Benji Madden, who is 45 years old, announced that they had welcomed a new baby, and Diaz confirmed that they were “blessed and grateful” to welcome the little boy, Cardinal Madden.
The couple announced the arrival of their son in a post that the duo shared on their account on the Instagram photo site, commenting on it, saying: “We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden. He is wonderful and we are all very happy to have him here. For the safety and privacy of the children, we will not publish any photos.” “But it’s really nice. We feel so happy and grateful, sending so much love from our family to yours. Best wishes and good evening!!”
Diaz and Madden also previously used Instagram to announce the birth of their daughter Radix in 2020, and said at the time that they did not plan to share more photos or details, in order to protect their family’s privacy.
Diaz told CBS News in 2022 that she stopped acting to focus on other projects, but mainly to enjoy being a mother to her 2-year-old daughter. She said motherhood has “definitely” changed her, and that she loves watching her daughter experience something new for the first time. This is what she experienced when she was younger.
“All mothers have that moment when you watch your child do something for the first time, and you say, ‘I remember I did that, and it’s amazing,'” Diaz said at the time.
Diaz, whose films include “There’s Something About Mary” and “Charlie’s Angels,” married Good Charlotte’s Madden in early 2015.
