Netflix’s ‘The Glory’ and ‘Son Myung-oh’ (Kim Kun-woo) became a representative figure in school violence cases. In the drama, he is one of the villains who brutally harass ‘Moon Dong-eun’ (Song Hye-kyo). Nowadays, when an incident of school violence comes to light in the entertainment industry, there are more cases that compare it to ‘it was like Son Myung-oh’. It was the same when Hwang Young-woong was mentioned from the recent MBN audition ‘Burning Trotman’. Kim Gun-woo (31) said, “I’m not going to be offended,” but said confidently, “I feel sorry for my character being tied (with the school violence incident ).”
“Myung-oh wanted him to feel like a living creature. It wasn’t well done in terms of acting, but I wanted to put the feeling of a bully somewhere. Instead, I felt I could show myself well in a scene without lines. The gait, the soju drinking scene, the candy biting scene, and the sitting posture were studied. This drama tells the story of Dong-eun, whose soul was shattered by violence as a child, risking her entire life for revenge.
