Candice: Fourteenth and final cyclone bulletin

At 1:00 p.m. this afternoon, Candice was centered approximately 350 km southeast of Mauritius around the point 22.6 degrees south in latitude and 59.9 degrees east in longitude. Candice is moving away from our region in a general southeast direction at an accelerated speed of 24 km/h.

No cyclone warning is in effect in Mauritius.

External cloud bands associated with Candice will continue to influence the weather on the island with intermittent rain especially over high ground. Rainfall could be moderate locally.

The sea will remain very rough with swells of around 4 meters on the high seas. The storm tide will affect the coastal regions of the east, south and west. The public is advised to be careful and not venture into the sea and coasts.

All weather observations at Mauritius show that moderate tropical storm Candice is moving further away from our region.

At 1300 hours, it was centred at about 350 km to the southeast of Mauritius, that is, near latitude 22.6 degres south and longitude 59.9 degrees east. Candice is moving in a general southeasterly track at a speed of about 24 km/h.

No cyclone warning is in force in Mauritius

Cloud in the outermost circulation of Candice will continue to influence weather over the island giving intermittent rain, mainly over the high grounds. The rains may become locally moderate.

Sea will remain very rough with swells of 4 metres beyond the reefs. Storm surges may impact the eastern, southern and western coastal areas. The public is strongly advised to be cautious and not to venture out at sea as well as along the beaches.

Weather observations in Mauritius show that moderate tropical storm Candice is expanding further from our region.

At 13:00, Candice was centered about 350 km south-east of Mauritius, at latitude 22.6 degrees south and longitude 59.9 degrees east. Candice is moving in a general direction south-east with an accelerated speed of around 24 km/h.

The clouds associated with Candice will continue to influence the weather over the island, mainly over the island. These rains can be very heavy in one or two places.

The sea will be very rough with wind from 4 meters outside. Can be docked on the east, south and west coasts. The public needs to take precautions and go out on the beach and in places it is not recommended.
