[디지털투데이 AI리포터] IT Media reported on the 13th (local time) that Canon introduced a new wearable device, “Privacy Talk”.

Privacy Talk is a wearable device that lowers the wearer’s voice. It is a mask-shaped device that connects a PC or smartphone to a headset via Bluetooth. Inside is a labyrinth structure that uses acoustic metamaterial technology, which reduces the sound range of the human voice (1,000 to 4,000 Hz) by approximately 20 db (decibels) as the voice passes through. Furthermore, a ventilation fan is said to be installed to prevent choking in the mouth and a dedicated microphone is also included to capture and compensate for the operating sound of the fan. This way you can give the other party a clear voice.

Canon explained: “It prevents people who are more than 1 meter away from hearing what is being said” and “It also has the effect of preventing ambient noise from entering the microphone.”

Privacy Talk will be on sale starting at the end of April.
