Capitol Civic Centre May-August Event Lineup

The Capitol Civic Centre in Manitowoc has announced its schedule of events and performances running from May through early August 2026. According to reporting from the Herald Times Reporter, the upcoming lineup includes a community chorale concert, a blues-themed fundraiser, and a youth theater workshop.

On May 19, 2026, the Capitol Civic Centre Community Chorale will present a performance titled Classics to Broadway. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. And will last for 120 minutes.

The program is designed to transition from traditional choral works to selections from musical theater. Featured pieces include Alleluia by Randall Thompson and selections from the Mass in G Major by Schubert. The performance will also include medleys from the musicals The Secret Garden and Les Misérables.

Tickets for the May 19 performance are available for $14 for adults and $12 for students.

Blues n’ Brews Fundraiser

The center will host the Blues n’ Brews fundraiser on June 28, 2026. This event is restricted to guests aged 21 and older and will take place in the Grand Lobby starting at 2 p.m.

The fundraiser is intended to support arts programming and pairs live blues music with local craft beer and BBQ-style appetizers. The musical portion of the event will be led by Grammy-winning keyboardist Dennis Wage. The band will also feature musicians E.G. McDaniel, Craig Panosh, Jim Schwarz, and Alex Wilson.

Admission for the June 28 event is priced at $40, which includes food and three drink tickets. For those seeking group seating, reserved tables for four are available for $400. The event will also include raffle opportunities.

Youth Theater Workshop

From July 27 to August 1, 2026, the Capitol Civic Centre will host the Missoula Children’s Theatre for a week-long workshop. The program is open to students entering first through 12th grade.

Rehearsals for the workshop are scheduled from 1 p.m. To 5:15 p.m. Daily from Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, 2026. The week of instruction will culminate in public performances of The Emperor’s New Clothes on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

The public performances on August 1 are scheduled for 11 a.m. And 2 p.m. Participation in the workshop is free for students, a cost covered by the Helen Gajdys and Lester Reis Endowment Fund for Children.
