CARACAS, Venezuela – The Cardenales de Lara dominated the Leones del Caracas on Tuesday night, securing a resounding 13-0 victory and maintaining their top spot in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League standings.
Right-hander Robert Colina delivered a stellar performance on the mound, tossing five scoreless innings and allowing no runs. The Cardenales’ offense provided ample support, racking up 15 hits against the Leones’ pitching staff.
Alí Sánchez led the offensive onslaught, going 5-for-4 with a double and driving in five runs. Jermaine Palacios also had a productive night,finishing 3-for-3 with three RBIs.
