Cargo ship crashes into a river in Bangladesh, six dead, including a child

They all jumped into the water to escape death. Many people floated in the water waiting for help. and believed that dozens of others were stranded under the wreck.

Al Jazeera News Agency Rescuers reported that at least six people had died, including two young children, two women and a man, while another died in hospital. It is not yet known how many more people are missing.

Golam Sadek, head of the Inland Water Transport Safety Authority, said about 15-20 passengers may have been stranded under the wreck.
