A farmer in South Africa made headlines by posting a photo on social media claiming to have caught an alien on the beach.
The New York Post reported on the 14th (local time) that Jan Boster (62), a farmer in the Western Cape region of South Africa, released the photo claiming to have caught an alien walking out on a beach in Still Bay.
However, ‘dried and twisted aloe’ was the identity this farmer claimed to be a foreigner.
“I thought I could use aloe to raise awareness about environmental destruction,” says Boster.” he explained. He said, “To create a dramatic picture, I lined the beach with aloe vera and took photos at sunrise and sunset.”
However, contrary to his expectations, netizens were only interested in the authenticity of the ‘alien’.
One netizen said, “This is why I don’t go on vacation by the sea. There are many unknown creatures living in the sea that we don’t know about.”
In response, Boster said, “People kept asking me about this sea monster.”
