Breaking News: Multiple Flights Canceled from Beirut Amid Escalating Tensions

Rafik Hariri‌ International Airport ‌announced the cancellation of over 30 flights​ from Beirut on Tuesday, as tensions continue to rise in​ the region.

The airport’s⁣ website revealed flight ⁢cancellations for various airlines, including Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, and Emirates‌ companies.

A flydubai spokesperson confirmed to ‍Reuters ⁢that flights between Dubai and‌ Beirut have ⁣been canceled for Tuesday and Wednesday due to current⁤ developments.

Etihad Airways also announced ​the cancellation of its⁤ flights ⁤to and from ​Beirut ‍on Tuesday, citing safety⁤ concerns.

Air Arabia canceled its Sharjah-Beirut‌ and Abu Dhabi-Beirut flights for Tuesday, while Qatar⁣ Airways⁣ suspended all flights from‌ Beirut for Tuesday ‍and Wednesday.

Escalating ‍Violence in the Region

On Monday, hundreds ​of Israeli raids on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon resulted in the deaths of 492 people, including⁤ 35 children, marking the heaviest aerial bombardment since the two sides exchanged fire on the border nearly ⁣a year ago.

Israeli ⁤Prime⁣ Minister ‍Benjamin⁤ Netanyahu stated that the‌ army is “shifting⁤ the security balance”⁣ in northern Israel, aiming to return displaced⁢ residents ⁤to safety.

The Israeli military ⁤dubbed its operation against Hezbollah the “Northern Arrow,” claiming to ⁢have struck 1,600 Hezbollah targets‌ on the first day.
