Imphal: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been assigned the task of investigating an appalling case of gang rape involving two Kuki girls in Manipur. Taking cognizance of the severity of the incident, the Union Home Ministry has recommended a CBI probe into the matter. Concurrently, the government has decided to file an affidavit in the Supreme Court, seeking a trial outside Manipur for this heinous crime.
