Paramount’s CBS has secured the English-language broadcast rights for the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) in the⁣ U.S. The five-year agreement ensures comprehensive coverage of European soccer’s premier women’s club ⁤competition through the 2029-30 season.

Starting with the 2024-25 campaign, ⁢all 75 UWCL matches each season will be available on Paramount+, the network’s streaming service. Additionally, ⁤select games will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo Network, expanding the reach of the UEFA Women’s Champions ‍League.

The UWCL rights deal was finalized with UC3, a joint venture between⁤ UEFA⁤ and the European Club Association. A revamped format in the 2025-26 season will⁤ introduce a league phase featuring 18 teams, increasing the total number of matches.

Guy Laurent Epstein, ⁤managing director of UC3, said CBS Sports’ coverage will ‍deliver “dynamic and insightful” content to⁢ American audiences, showcasing ⁢the highest level of ⁤women’s club football in its new format.

CBS’s existing soccer rights also feature Italy’s Serie ‍A and Serie A Femminile, the English⁢ Football League, the Carabao Cup, the United Soccer League, the Lamar ⁣Hunt U.S. ⁤Open Cup, ⁤and the Scottish Professional Football League.

CBS takes over the UWCL rights from DAZN, which held global broadcasting rights for⁤ the previous four ⁢years. During the 2023-24 season, DAZN offered most group stage ⁤matches for free, and the 2022-23 final was available on free-to-air television in several European countries through a sub-licensing agreement with the European Broadcasting Union.
