CD Project recorded the highest third quarter performance thanks to the open world RPG Cyberpunk 2077, the US game media Video Game Chronicle reported on the 28th (local time).
Cyberpunk 2077 is a game released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2020, and also released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in February.
CD Project announced that the number of Cyberpunk 2077 users increased in September due to the 1.6 patch update, Steam discounts, and the impact of Cyberpunk Edgerunners, an animated series that aired on Netflix.
According to CD Project, the number of users of Cyberpunk 2077 in September exceeded 1 million per day.
Thanks to the rapid increase in the number of users, sales related to Cyberpunk 2077 also increased significantly.
Project CD “had the best third quarter in its entire history in terms of finances. Cyberpunk 2077’s third quarter consolidated revenue was $54.6 million (approximately 73.06 billion earned) and net profit was $21.3 million (approximately 28.5 billion earned) ),” he said. “This equates to 40% of the group’s total net profit.”
