Kardashian, who previously engaged with Trump during his presidency, addressed the justifications for the sweeps in a June 10 Instagram Story. “When we’re told that ICE exists to keep our country safe and remove violent criminals — great,” she stated. “But when we witness innocent, hardworking people being ripped from their families in inhumane ways, we have to speak up.”
She added, “Growing up in LA, I’ve seen how deeply immigrants are woven into the fabric of this city. They are our neighbors, friends, classmates, coworkers, and family… We can’t turn a blind eye when fear and injustice keep people from living their lives freely and safely. There HAS to be a BETTER way.” Kardashian also shared a video of Doechii’s speech at the BET Awards, amplifying the message.
Jenna Ortega also voiced her concerns online, condemning injustices worldwide. “People in los Angeles are being torn away from their everyday lives & love… Innocent civilians in Iran are caught in the middle of warfare… Palestinian cries are still being buried in every day media..” She concluded, “To say this doesn’t concern you, or that it isn’t your problem, Is a privilege under abuse.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former California governor, criticized both Democrats and Republicans for the political gridlock leading to the current situation. Speaking to variety, he stated, “This is the result of Democrats and Republicans not being able to come together in this immigration reform… so we know who is in this country and who is working here,who has the temporary working permit,who has the permanent working permit.”
Gabriel Luna advocated for the abolition of ICE, calling it “a terrible waste of resources.”
