A member of the House of Representatives Commission X condemned the ‍violence perpetrated by armed⁣ criminal groups in Yahukimo, papua Mountains, stating ‌that the attacks on teachers and health workers are a violation of human rights.

The acts of violence and ⁣murder⁤ that befell teachers‌ and health⁣ workers in Papua are a violation of⁢ human rights.‍ We are very concerned and condemn these acts.

The representative‌ spoke⁤ to reporters‍ monday, March⁤ 24,‍ 2025.

On Friday, March⁣ 21, a group burned a school building and teachers’⁢ houses in Anggruk Village, Anggruk⁢ District, Yahukimo. Ten people,including teachers,health‍ workers,and residents,were victimized.

According to a‍ statement from the National Police, one person died, ​four people sustained minor injuries, three were seriously injured,⁤ and two other ​victims ‍were native ⁢Yahukimo residents. The National police ​condemned the attack.

This is‌ a savage and very cruel action.the teachers and⁤ medical personnel are not​ military; they are educators​ who ⁣devote themselves to Papuan children.

A‍ joint team⁢ evacuated the victims by air on Sunday,March 23.
