AKRON,Ohio-Tim Petrovic,Steven Alker,and ricardo Gonzalez ended Friday in a three-way tie for the lead at the Kaulig Companies Championship. All three golfers sit at 5-under 135 after the second round of play at Firestone South. The Kaulig Companies Championship is the third major of the year on the PGA Tour Champions.
Petrovic carded a 4-under 66, closing with a birdie. Alker, from New Zealand, also shot a 66. Gonzalez, of Argentina, who shared the first-round lead, posted a 68.
Miguel Angel Jiménez trails by one stroke after his own round of 66. Freddie Jacobson is also in contention, sitting at 3-under after shooting a 67.
