Air Force Two, the vice president’s plane, carried Kirk’s remains from Salt Lake City to Phoenix, a somber journey marking the loss of a prominent figure in american politics.
Vice President JD Vance, a close friend of Kirk, was seen helping to carry the casket from the plane in Salt Lake City. A video posted on social media by Tyler Bower, a colleague of Kirk’s at turning point USA, captured the poignant moment. The aircraft landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport shortly before 5 p.m. local time.
Second Lady Usha Vance accompanied Kirk’s widow, Erika kirk, as they disembarked the plane in Phoenix. Both women, dressed in black and wearing sunglasses, were visibly grieving.
