The Taiwanese team in the world’s top 12 baseball competition will begin training at the Taipei Arena on the 29th and will hold external exchanges and actual games to face the Czech team, Taiwan Steel Eagle Chen, on November 2 and 3. Biking (pictured) will begin.
Taiwanese Team Faces Czech Team in Warm-Up Match
(Central News Agency Reporter Yang Qifang, Taipei, 2nd) The Taiwanese team of the World Top 12 Baseball Tournament held a self-organized warm-up match with the Czech national team at the Taipei Arena today. The Taiwanese team introduced Chen Biking as the starter and Lin Li served as the pioneer. Then it will be fished by G. Lizzie. Gong Guan led off, and Lin Jiazheng was the catcher.
The world’s top 12 Taiwanese team will begin the second round of training on October 28 and will play warm-up matches against the Czech team today and tomorrow. In the first game, the Taiwanese team will launch Chen Biking against Czech Republic starting pitcher Daniel Padisak.
The starting lineup of the Taiwan team today is Lin Li (right field), Tsang Song-en (left field), Chen Zixian (center field), Ji Lizhi Lao. Gong Guan (designated hitter), Pan Jicai (third base), Zhu Yuxian (first base), Lin Jiazheng (catcher), Li Kaiwei (second base), Jiang Kunyu (guerrilla).
When asked whether the starting line-up of this game is the prototype of the official game, Taiwan team head coach Zeng Haoju did not say anything, he only said, “First, we will match the practice situation with the whole team, and then we will do it in the next few games.” Although Lin Anke, who previously had an ankle injury, did not start today, Zheng Haoju noted that Lin Anke’s injury is no longer a problem.
Regarding the pitching in this game, Zeng Haoju said that starting pitcher Chen Baiqing is expected to pitch 2 to 3 innings, and later pitchers such as Huang Zhipeng and Lin Yumin will also take the plate “It depends on how the relievers are lined up. This game will probably be 5 to 3 games to go.” Zeng Haoju also noted that all pitchers will be at the plate for these two-day Taiwanese exchange games.
