The roster construction sets the stage for five preseason games, beginning October 7 against the Phoenix Suns at the United Center, ahead of the regular-season opener on October 21 in Toronto.
Preseason Roster Additions and Training Camp Invites
Chicago added several players on non-guaranteed training camp contracts to compete for the remaining roster spots. Guard Brandon Boston Jr. joins the team following a stint with Fenerbahçe, where he averaged 5.9 points and 2.0 rebounds across 50 games. Forward Orlando Robinson also signed after a standout G League campaign split between the Osceola Magic and Memphis Hustle, averaging 22.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game. Robinson also represented Team USA during the 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifiers. The team filled out its remaining training camp slots by signing forward Drew Peterson, rookie forward Marquel Sutton out of LSU, and guard Peter Suder. Peterson posted 14.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.9 steals per game last season across 35 appearances with the Greensboro Swarm and Motor City Cruise. Sutton went undrafted in 2026 after averaging 13.1 points and 7.3 rebounds at LSU.
