China’s Stock Markets Open Lower on First Day of Two Sessions

The Shanghai Composite Index of China’s stock markets opened lower today (March 4) as investors keep an eye on China’s annual Two Sessions, which begin today. These include meetings of the National Political Advisory Council (CPPCC) and the National People’s Congress (NPC).

The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 3,026.61 points, down 0.41 points or -0.01%.

At the said meeting Prime Minister Li Qiang China was expected to hand over the government’s work report It details economic and policy goals for China’s economy. Including gross domestic product growth target.
