A video showing that a Chinese civilian drone filmed North Korea’s Sinuiju, a city on the border between North Korea and China, from airspace was released on social media and is attracting attention.
Recently, a Chinese community on SNS America’s ‘Reddit’ posted related photos and a 19-second video, claiming to have been filmed with a drone in Sinuiju, North Korea, in Dandong City, Liaoning Province, China, in 2020.
The video and photos show a panoramic view of Sinuiju, including various parts of the city center and ships moored along the Yalu River.
The streets are so quiet it seems almost empty. Had the filming taken place in 2020, it appears that there would have been less movement of residents due to borders being closed and internal controls in place due to COVID-19.

However, it is assumed that the filming in question was not carried out with the permission of the North Korean or Chinese authorities.
