Currently, Zeekr offers three compelling electric models in europe: the X, 001, and 7X.The Zeekr X, a compact SUV measuring 4,450 mm in length, has quickly become a star, offering a compelling “zero emissions” option for urban drivers. Now, Zeekr is enhancing the X with a meaningful mechanical upgrade and subtle yet stylish aesthetic refinements to maintain its competitive edge.
News of the update surfaced via the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Data Technology (MIIT), mirroring the recent unveiling of updates to the Zeekr 7X. Like its sibling, the Zeekr X focuses on subtle improvements that elevate the overall driving experience.
The exterior receives a touch of modern flair with redesigned daytime running lights featuring 56 LEDs. A new, expansive panoramic roof, boasting 1.21 square meters of glazed surface, floods the cabin with natural light. The rear is distinguished by a striking new light bar, stretching 1.5 meters and composed of 229 individual LEDs. Completing the exterior enhancements are fresh wheel designs, available in 18- and 20-inch options, along with optional colored brake calipers and distinctive rear-view mirror caps.
While specific interior changes remain under wraps,expect a revamped infotainment system with updated graphics and more detailed information,mirroring the improvements seen in the updated Zeekr 7X. New interior finishes, upholstery options, and decorative trim are also anticipated.
The most significant upgrade lies beneath the surface. The Zeekr X will now offer a more powerful all-wheel-drive option, delivering a remarkable 489 horsepower. This is achieved through a dual-motor setup,featuring a 154 hp motor on the front axle and a potent 335 hp motor driving the rear. The rear-wheel-drive variant will also benefit from the 335 hp rear motor.
To put this in viewpoint, the current Zeekr X models available in Europe offer either 286 hp in the rear-wheel-drive configuration or 420 hp in the all-wheel-drive version. This new update represents a substantial power increase across the board.
Details regarding potential battery upgrades remain undisclosed. if the current battery options of 49 kWh and 66 kWh are retained, expect a range of approximately 420 to 560 kilometers, depending on the configuration.
With prices starting at €34,990, the Zeekr X is already an attractive proposition in the European electric vehicle market. This latest update, with its enhanced power and refined aesthetics, promises to further solidify its position as a leading contender.
