Malle envisions a “notable change” for the magazine, planning to reduce its publishing frequency and focus on high-quality, themed issues tied to specific cultural moments, designed to be collectible.Her track record at Vogue is strong, having doubled direct traffic to Vogue.com and achieving double-digit growth in key metrics, particularly around major events like the Met Gala and Vogue World.
The 39-year-old New Yorker, daughter of filmmaker Louis Malle and actress Candice Bergen, acknowledges the privilege of her upbringing but emphasizes her dedication to proving her worth. she is known for her coverage of high-profile celebrity weddings, including that of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez.
Malle expressed her excitement about the role, stating she is eager to expand Vogue’s presence across publishing, video, and events, and to “shape Vogue” after it has already “shaped who I am.”
This appointment follows the June announcement of Anna Wintour’s departure from the American edition of Vogue after 37 years.
