[부산 사직구장]
“On Dongbaek Island, where flowers bloom~”
“Isn’t this a cheer song?”
“On the green hill!”
[신다은/2009년생]
“Carry a backpack”
[이진희/1994년생]
“Golden sun~”
[신다은/2009년생]
“Isn’t that (singer) Kim?”
[이진희/1994년생]
“Who was it?”
A song that anyone can sing along to, even if they don’t know who the singer is.
[아기공룡 둘리]
“Friend~”
All of them are his songs.
[조용필/가수]
“(I) sang a song, but in the end, the lyrics and the song belong to the public…”
‘King of Singer’ Cho Yong-pil.
Their first album, officially released in 1980, became the first in Korea to sell 1 million copies, announcing the birth of a major star.
Hanobaeknyeon, a reinterpretation of folk songs.
Short hair that was ahead of its time.
There was even a Kilimanjaro leopard, which was unfamiliar at the time, as the narration continued.
His songs always captured the public’s ears with their novelty.
[조용필/가수]
“In a word, it’s a challenge. I think I had so much desire to try something.”
While writing so many ‘firsts’, my feelings were always the same.
[조용필/가수(1983년)]
“I will sing a lot of good songs.”
It seems natural to use the modifiers ‘King of Singer’ in front of the name and ‘National Song’ in front of the song, but I have never been satisfied with it.
[조용필/가수]
“I’ve never put something out like this before because I was satisfied with it.”
And a new album released after 11 years.
The 20th album, which is expected to be the ‘last’, contains encouragement to everyone who has worked hard.
[조용필/가수]
“Not everyone can succeed. That’s okay…”
A 74-year-old master singer who has devoted his entire life to singing and still finds learning fun.
[임진모/대중음악평론가]
“Who would consider this a 74-year-old vocalist? It’s self-innovation. Not being satisfied with established patterns and going beyond the times.”
Even when he says ‘the last time’, the reason we keep looking forward to the next one, thinking ‘just in case’, is probably because his unstoppable passion is so brilliant.
