Delivery companies are experiencing peak volume this week. “We’re currently processing nearly 400,000 packages daily, compared to around 250,000 in November,” says Ivo Vysoudil, spokesperson for the Czech Post.
To guarantee delivery before Christmas, the Czech Post recommends dropping off packages by Thursday, December 19th. This applies to both home deliveries adn pick-up locations. Deliveries to homes, Balíkovna locations, and pick-up boxes will continue until December 23rd.
Zásilkovna and PPL, two other major delivery services, will also deliver until Monday, December 23rd. “Packages handed over to our network by Friday,December 20th,will be delivered before Christmas,” says Tereza Kotková,spokesperson for Zásilkovna.
For peace of mind, Kotková advises ordering gifts by Wednesday, December 18th, to allow e-commerce sites ample time for processing. PPL has similar deadlines.
