A Life Remembered
Christy Byrne,formerly of Bedford,England,passed away peacefully on September 3,2025,while receiving care at St. Patrick’s Ward, University Hospital Galway. He was a cherished member of the Dunmore, County Galway community.
Mr. Byrne was predeceased by his sisters, Mary, Una, and Bridie, and his brothers, Pakie and Martin.
Family and Friends
He is survived by his loving wife, Liz; his daughter, Christine; and his son, Tom. Christy will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing will take place at Glynns Funeral Home, Dunmore (H54 NY61) on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Following this, his remains will be removed to the Church of Our Lady and St. Nicholas, Dunmore (H54 Y573).
The Funeral Mass will be held on saturday, September 6, 2025, at 3:00 PM, with burial to follow in the local cemetery.
For those unable to attend in person, the Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on the Dunmore Parish website.
