Guatemala Pushes‌ for Global Kidney Health Resolution at WHO Assembly

Guatemala is advocating for a resolution at the 78th World Health⁤ Assembly ⁣to ⁢address⁢ non-communicable ⁣diseases (NCDs) by prioritizing kidney health.The assembly‌ is scheduled from​ May 19-27, 2025.

The proposed resolution​ emphasizes strengthening prevention ​and control measures ‌for kidney‌ disease to lessen the overall ⁢burden of NCDs.This marks the first time ⁣Guatemala has ‍put⁣ forward such a request to the World Health Assembly.
