Cicpc chief commissioner detained in Zulia while transporting cocaine

A chief commissioner of the Scientific Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) was arrested on Saturday in the Alta Guajira parish, Zulia state, for trafficking in narcotic and psychotropic substances.

The arrest of Jesús Antonio Medina Tovar was carried out by members of the Bolivarian National Guard assigned to the Fourth Paraguaipoa Company in conjunction with the Bolivarian National Police.

As evidence, they seized 42 panels of cocaine hydrochloride weighing 42 kilos, which he brought from the Republic of Colombia. The report does not specify what means of transportation the commissioner used, from whom an agency credential was seized.
