The first round⁣ of the men’s‌ singles at ‍the Hangzhou‌ Open (China/Hangzhou, hard, ATP250) ‌was ⁤held on the 18th,⁢ and world ranking⁤ 777th, who‍ participated as a ​wild card (recommended by the ⁤organizers), M. “It means a lot, both⁤ for ⁢me and for the team that​ has⁤ been with me‍ through this long, tedious and difficult time. ‌Two surgeries, a lot of rehab ⁣and‍ training. I’m very happy to be back on court, healthy and back to 100 percent physically.”

In the second⁢ round, he will face either eighth seed Yoshihito Nishioka or world No. 105 M. ‍Marterer (Germany).
