Preparing for the Unexpected: A Collaborative Effort
General Mosconi recently hosted a vital emergency preparedness drill, bringing together representatives from the Undersecretariat of Civil defense, local authorities, adn key community organizations. The exercise, organized in partnership with the El Alto Foundation, focused on verifying emergency protocols and assessing the responsiveness of various agencies in the event of flooding.
The drill wasn’t conducted in isolation. The Foundation for the Cohesion and Social Inclusion of the Argentine People (CISPA) and the International Committee for the Development of the Peoples (CISP) actively participated, with financial backing from the Directorate of Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid of the European Union. this collaborative approach underscores the importance of international and local partnerships in building resilient communities.
Community Involvement: A Cornerstone of Preparedness
More than 100 residents of General Mosconi actively participated in the exercise, alongside the Civil Defense Director of the Municipality, Ricardo Pereyra. Personnel from the Hospital Operational Area XXVIII, the Provincial Police, various Municipal Organizations, and the Coe Mission Community Wichi Toleba also contributed their expertise and support. This broad participation highlights a commitment to a whole-community approach to disaster preparedness.
