The 2023 WBC World Baseball Classic is about to begin, and the US media listed the top ten “positions of strength” through the lineup. The top three were won by the Dominican Republic, the United States, and Japan, and the Chinese team was not on the list.
“FOX Sports” analyst B. Weilander (Ben Verlander) selected the Top 10 for each team’s strength. Verlander puts the Dominicans first, because he has a lineup that rivals the United States, and the pitching lineup is more luxurious.
As for the US lineup, he thought it was “the best lineup ever.” At the same time, he refuted the claim that US pitchers are relatively weak, and believed that this lineup was sufficient.
The Netherlands, who are in the same group as the Chinese team, are in 7th place. Weiland believes that the Netherlands’ results have been good in the past. Cuba was ranked 10. He said that although there are many big league players, few of them are really stable.
