Austria’s first horse film festival, Lipizzania, brought free screenings and a newly written crime story to Köflach and Piber from September 10 to 13, meinbezirk.at reported. Organized by Oliver Pink, the event featured film screenings at the Kunsthaus Köflach cellar stage alongside an exclusive reading by crime author Claudia Rossbacher.
Crime Author Claudia Rossbacher Debuts Gestüt Piber Short Story
Rossbacher wrote a brand-new, standalone short story titled Steirerhengst
specifically for the festival. The narrative follows Chief Inspector Bergmann and Sandra Mohr as they investigate a murder case at the Federal Stud Piber, taking the audience directly through the stables and the forge.
Festival director Oliver Pink hosted a personal conversation with Rossbacher following the reading. The discussion examined the backgrounds of the Steirerkrimi series, the television adaptations produced by ORF, and included excerpts from a documentary about the author.

Future Publication Plans For Steirerhengst
When asked if the festival-exclusive short story would receive a wider release, Rossbacher indicated she would need to expand the material significantly. Würde es ein Roman werden, würde ich natürlich mehr in die Tiefe gehen. Eine Chance gibt es auf jeden Fall, ich habe mich ja jetzt mit dem Thema angefreundet,
Rossbacher stated, according to meinbezirk.at.
The author noted that her immediate focus remains on her upcoming project set in the Murtal region. Visitors at the event were also able to purchase her latest Mohr and Bergmann novel, Steirerzwist,
at a pop-up location run by Bücherei Zeltner and have their copies signed by the author.
