Claudia Sheinbaum seeks to improve the country’s nutrition

The 4T candidate Claudia Sheinbaum, was present at the rally of the Pedro Escobedo municipality in Querétaroin his speech for the presidential candidacy, emphasized some of the feeding problems that Mexicans suffer, because 70% of these suffer from obesity.

Sheinbaum emphasized that currently, traditional Mexican food is not a habit on Mexican tables and therefore, the overconsumption of junk food is one of the main causes of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, among others.

“Mexico, since before the Colony, ate well: tortillas, beans, chili, rice, tamales, quelites, all this that comes from before, we must return to that traditional diet,” he indicated.

The flag bearer mentioned that there should be “nothing but chips and sodas, all of that does a lot of harm.”

“That is why in Mexico, unfortunately, we are one of the first countries in hypertension, diabetes, obesity and the age of boys and girls. That cannot be done, we must return to traditional nutrition, which makes us healthy.”

To conclude, the presidential standard-bearer of the Let’s Keep Making History coalition proposed a plan of strategies focused on motivating citizens to move from an early age to old adulthood, thus achieving changing health landscapes.

“That’s why I say that we are going to bring health, just as we now go from house to house,” he highlighted at a rally in the municipality of Pedro Escobedo.
