RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina⁤ residents should ⁤prepare for a weekend of contrasting weather, with high temperatures forecast for Friday ⁣and Saturday, followed by potential severe⁣ storms on Sunday, according to the Emergency ⁤Management Department.

The Emergency⁣ Management Department is forecasting sunny skies and high temperatures ⁤for‍ Friday,April 4. Daytime temperatures are expected to range from 84 to 89 degrees Fahrenheit across much of the ‍state, with nighttime lows between ⁣62 and 67⁣ degrees.

Saturday⁣ will bring similar conditions, with temperatures remaining above ⁣normal, notably in central North Carolina.Thermometers are‍ expected to register between 84 and 88 degrees during the day, dropping to between 63 and‌ 67 degrees overnight.

The emergency Management Department urges residents to stay hydrated throughout Friday and Saturday to mitigate⁤ the risk of heat-related illnesses.

Sunday: Stormy Weather Arrives

The weather pattern is ⁤expected to⁤ shift dramatically‌ on​ Sunday, April 6,​ with the arrival of rain, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.
