Brands can now find and book Snapchat creators through Collabstr, an influencer marketplace launched October 5 that integrates Snapchat alongside Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. No Canadian breakdown is available yet, according to the platform, and that data will arrive as more creators list their profiles.
Audience Size and Platform Tools Shape Canadian Creator Campaigns
Snap reports reaching more than 13 million monthly active users in Canada. The platform subscribes to Numeris National Video Audience Measurement, giving media planners unduplicated reach and frequency across video platforms so its audience can be compared directly with television and digital video. Juliet Merson, Snap’s head of creator business partnerships, stated that nearly one in four Snapchatters is now 35 or older, though Snap has not shared a Canadian breakdown of that figure.
Marketers working outside of a marketplace can use Snapchat’s native creator tools. Creators meeting eligibility standards based on authenticity, engagement, and content quality can opt into Brand Partnerships, placing them in Snapchat’s Creator Marketplace. Sponsored posts carry a Paid Partnership label, and brands can put paid media behind a creator’s post using pre-approved access or ad codes. Separately, eligible Snap Stars earn revenue from ads shown in their public content.
Analytics Integration Provides New Visibility Before Booking
Collabstr handles creator campaigns from start to finish, letting brands search creators by platform, niche, audience, and budget with verified engagement rates and demographics. The platform’s client roster includes Canadian companies Wealthsimple and Hopper, alongside McDonald’s and Orangetheory Fitness. For Snapchat specifically, Collabstr pulls in native analytics so brands can compare creators on views, average view time, returning viewer rate, and CPM before booking.
Creator ads on Snapchat are viewed 25% longer and drive 16% more active attention than standard brand ads.
Platform Reach Extends Through Chat and Map Tabs
Snapchat’s intimate surfaces, including the Chat and Map tabs, have users opening the app 30 to 40 times a day as a utility and core part of their daily lives.
