Comparison: Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, and S9 Ultra – Specs and Features Revealed

Samsung has recently announced three new tablets – the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. These tablets are the successors to the Galaxy Tab S8 series, which was globally launched in February 2022. A thorough comparison of their appearance and specifications has been made.

Starting with the front comparison, all three models – Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra – have been evaluated. The back and top/bottom comparisons have also been thoroughly scrutinized.

Moving on to the differences in characteristics, the Galaxy Tab S9 series shares the same processor. However, there are variations in price, size, and RAM/battery storage, with the S9 Ultra being the highest in these aspects. Both the S9+ and S9 Ultra possess dual cameras on the back, while only the S9 Ultra has dual cameras on the front. Interestingly, the S9 Ultra also features a notch-shaped display.

The release date for overseas markets is set for August 11, 2023, with the exact carrier yet to be determined. Additional features include IP68 waterproof and dustproof protection (a first in the Galaxy Tab S series), biometric fingerprint authentication (featured in the display), and various camera configurations. The tablets also offer video capabilities at 4K 30fps, Wi-Fi 6E support, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS with GLONASS.

The battery capacities vary, with the Tab S9 Ultra having the largest capacity. All models come with AKG quad audio speakers, Dolby Atmos support, and a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 connector. The S Pen, a rechargeable accessory with BLE and IP68 ratings, is included with the tablets. Additionally, there are various accessories available, including book covers, keyboards, and protective stand covers.

In terms of design, the tablets feature metal armor frames with an aluminum finish. They also come equipped with various sensors such as acceleration, gyro, geomagnetism, hall, and RGB illumination sensors.

Dimensions and weights vary among the models, with the Tab S9 Ultra being the largest and heaviest. The available colors are Beige and Graphite.
