Two Dead, Two Injured in Concord Shooting
CONCORD, N.C. — A shooting in Concord, North Carolina, late Sunday night left two people dead and two others injured, according to reports from the Concord Police Department.
Police responded to a call of shots fired on Fairington Drive NW around 11:08 p.m. On . Upon arrival, officers discovered four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Two of those victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The two surviving victims were transported to a local hospital by Cabarrus County EMS. Their condition has not been released to the public as of .
The incident occurred in the 1400 block of Fairington Drive NW, and was also reported at the Brooke Pointe Apartments, according to WSOCTV.
The Concord Police Department has stated that Here’s an active and ongoing investigation. Authorities have not yet released information regarding a potential suspect or motive.

This shooting follows another incident in Concord where one person died and another was injured on Kite Court, according to a Facebook post from Cabarrus County Mugshots on January 26, 2026. Monte Larike McIlwain, 47, was arrested in connection with that shooting.
Separately, Concord Police were also investigating a shooting at a tree lighting ceremony Friday night, where four people were hospitalized, according to a live YouTube broadcast. One adult and two juvenile suspects were identified in that case.
